How do you like my new theme? Looks very2 pretty and sophisticated and elegant with a dash of fun, right? I’m loving this theme very much. If you don’t like it, then keep it to yourself. Do not burst my bubbles whatever rocks my boat, alrighty? Don’t ask, yes, I’m writing in blockquotes because I just love the default italic fonts 😀

So, what’s up? Hmm.. American Idol and The Voice are now in season again.

Honestly, I kinda like The Voice more.

The people who came for audition are much better singers than those of American Idol, and seriously, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are hotter than J Lo 😛 I can foresee that I’ll be posting quite a number of entries in relation to these two shows in the near future.

On a different note, I’d like to start another 30 Days Challenge.

I know I didn’t manage to complete the challenge last year, but all the more reason to do another one for 2012, am I right? Besides, I’d like to start blogging regularly like I used to and i think this 30 Days Challenge is perfect to get  my “engine” started. Of course the challenges won’t be the same as last year’s. I’m going to start Day 1 Challenge immediately after I published this post. I’m tipu-ing a bit coz I had to do it now while I’m still all geared up for it.

Scotty & Lauren made it to the final 2! Yippee!!!

I think I’m quite good at spotting talent owh hehehe.. kes perasan ni.. but I was never wrong in predicting AI winners since Carrie Underwood.. For this season, I did mention in this entry that Lauren Alaina is going to be in the final and in my previous post, I mentioned that Scotty may win this whole thing this year! I got the top twos right, kan?

And I still think Scotty will be the next American Idol.

Why?

Let’s look at the trend for the past 3 seasons. The best singer will always be the runner-up. Crystal Bowersox was the best last year, and she was the runner-up. Adam Lambert was the best singer in season 8, he was the runner up. David Archuleta was the favourite in season 7, but David Cook won. See??? The guy next door always win… Lauren is so talented, has a great voice and she can sing anything, no doubt she’ll always hit THE note, but Scotty? He’s the boy next door! He’s the kind of guy that Moms all around the world would approve of being their daughter’s boyfriend 😀 Like Beyonce said, he’s just so charming!

So, I’m rooting for Scotty. If Lauren wins this year, then it would be my 1st wrong prediction since Carrie Underwood… and I’ll take that.

The internet was down the whole morning so Little Bird didn’t get the chance to relay it’s news for me sooner.

As we all know, Pia was sent home.

Shocking!

I have already put Pia as one of the Top 4 in the Pearlie White contest so there goes my chance of winning tickets to the finals! 😀 macam lah bah dapat kan?

I personally think, Pia was eliminated because everyone thought everyone else are going to vote for her. She gave the best performance last night so it’s no surprise if people thought she’s going to get a lot of votes.

OR….

maybe the truth is that she was already nabbed by some big recording company – why waste time competing in this little singing competition? who knows, kan?

I’m guessing, Scotty McCreery is going to win this whole thing this year. To early to tell, I know, but now that Pia is gone, he might have a chance…

The judges used the Save last week, so 2 contestants with the least number of votes will be sent home today.

Thia Megia, Paul McDonald and Naima Adedapo are in the bottom three.

Paul was sent back to safety.

So it’s goodbye to Thia & Naima…

Thia Megia, Stefano Langone and Casey Abrams were in the bottom 3.

Thia & Stefano made it another week.

Casey sang his audition song and the judges decided to use the SAVE.

There will be a double-elimination next week.

Mimi : Shocked! I thought Casey was one of America’s favourite!

My little bird stopped by to give us the news and here is what little bird has to say…

Haley Reinhart is in the bottom three – again. That’s 2 in a row..

Naima Adedapo is in the bottom three.

Karen Rodriguez is in the bottom three as well.

America decided that Haley & Naima should stay another week. Karen sang for The Save, but the judges decided not to use it.

Good Bye, Karen Rodriguez…

Little Bird informed me that Karen Rodriguez, Haley Reinhart and Ashton Jones are in the botttom three.

Karen Rodriguez is Safe!

… and Haley Reinhart is Safe!

Ashton Jones sang to win the Judges in hope to get saved.

But no, the judges decided not to Save.

Looks like Jacee Badeaux didn’t make the cut after all. well, actually we don’t know the whole story yet. Probably he made it, but he withdrew, i don’t know for sure. The other 21 contestants from my previous entry did make it to Top 24 though.
